2018 TSHD Middelburg

On order of Van Ouwerkerk BV Zandhandel in Middelburg, we equipped a trailing suction hopper dredger with a complete electric installation. To achieve this, we worked closely with Van Ouwekerk to design and programme the entire propulsion for the dredging process. The propulsion has efficient controls whereby the ship is able to handle wet and dry loads. This is achieved by bottom doors or by making the sand liquid which is pumped into an inland hopper barge. It can be unloaded dry by way of a lifting and rotatable transport band. With a length of 30 metres, this is located on the bow.
