2016 Greenport 1

On order of Construction Hoogezand Nieuwbouw Shipyard, we supplied the E-installation on the Greenport 1. This special ship is a hopper and can therefore fully open up on the bottom. With two generator sets that are powered by  LNG (Liquid Natural Gas) this ship sails fully electric with two E-engines for propulsion. The front of the ship has two insulated tanks for the storage of LNG at a temperature of -162 degrees Celsius. In order to guarantee safety while the generators were switched off, a battery system was placed on the ship in order to continue to supply the ships with the necessary electricity.
